Outings A change of scenery and breath of fresh air!
Getting out of the house, even for a quick walk or drive around the block, can make a difference in our day. Outings are an exceptional way to reduce social isolation and the numerous health issues associated with it for the older adult population.
Where To?
Outings can be used to complete essential errands (medical appointments) or for leisure (grabbing lunch!). We love to incorporate outings that take advantage of the local environment and culture.
Some popular examples of outings are:
Prior to an outing, your Active Caregiver will research the destination to ensure it has accessible parking, entrances, and washrooms. We will also plan for the weather, medications, meals, and other considerations to make sure that you are well cared for while we are out.
Walkers and fold-able wheelchairs can be stowed in our vehicles. If an accessible vehicle is required, your Active Caregiver can arrange for an Accessible Transit option.
