Do You Have Questions?

You may find the answers here.

Many adults aged 65 and over spend an average of 10 hours or more each day sitting or lying down. There's strong evidence that people who are active have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, depression, and dementia. There are many ways to be active. A good place to start is by doing what you enjoy. Our Care Partners tailor activities based on interests and abilities.

There are activities that are strictly for fun and entertainment, but other types of activities include physical exercise, nutrition, memory/mental exercises, and hobbies/interests. Emphasizing all of these promotes mental and physical wellness.

Here are some examples; yoga, strength training with weights, creating and carving sculptures, trivia, menu plans, following stocks, sewing projects, singing, and dancing, learning a new skill (eg. the alphabet in sign language) etc. The possibilities are endless!
