We Believe that the care one receives must be as unique as the individual. To provide this, we customize services and active leisure time to an individual’s interests and abilities.

Our Story

Active Caregiving was created in 2017 by Lorien Bellamy and Paige MacLean after working together in the senior care industry for over a decade and finding that they equally loved their work, their vision and values aligned, and they worked together exceptionally well. Paige and Lorien saw how their work integrates with health care, rehabilitation, and other services and how essential it is for wellness and wellbeing. They also saw that conventional caregiving frequently left seniors unfulfilled. Thus, the idea of Active Caregiving, a business that would provide exceptional care and opportunities for fulfilling activities came up around the kitchen table, witnessed by babies in highchairs!

Active Caregiving’s exceptional caregivers is at the core of our business. By choosing only the best support workers and valuing and investing in our caregivers, we build a team that is reliable, motivated, dedicated in the long-term and who build quality relationships with those in our care.
