Our Home Care Service is designed to provide private, one on one support to individuals 18 years and older that requires some level of assistance with their activities of daily living. We specialize in incorporating activities that stimulate the mind, and bring joy to the soul!

Getting Started

Free Initial Intake Consultation
Over the phone and by email.

Your Plan
After documents are signed, the Care Manager will reach out in person, in-home, or through zoom. They will work with you to create a customized Care and Activity Plan.
Ongoing Support

Personal Case Manager
Our Intake Coordinator will introduce you to your Case Manager. You will have as-needed access to your case manager through email, text or call where you can inquire about services, care needs, and receive help navigating the health care system. Active Caregiving's Case Management services are offered complimentary and are available at all times during office hours to offer their support.

Stay In The Loop
You will be provided with daily, weekly, or monthly progress reports, based on your request.

Active Visits
We provide direct care and recreation on-location, during your scheduled time each day and/or week
Through our Active Caregiving system, we are sure you will enjoy progress and relief for the whole family!
Pricing
Our prices are on par with services in the GTA and allow us to pay our caregivers a living wage.

Our Rates
- $45 per hour plus HST.
- For care that equals or exceeds 30 hours in a standard 7 day week the fee is $35 per hour.
- A minimum of 2 consecutive hours is required on a weekly basis.
- Errand service fees are $40 per hour plus HST, and a minimum of one hour is required.
- Premium rates applied for distant travel.

- Clients are assigned the same PSWs for their visits and have their direct contact information to discuss care plan needs and schedules.
We pay a living wage which honours the work and builds in consistency.
The two Directors at Active Caregiving have a background in Gerontology and Senior Care. They know the care clients deserve.
Help with the cost of home care:
- Expenses can be claimed under Attendant Care if eligible for the Disability Tax Credit or if you have a written letter from a medical practitioner that states the services are mandatory
- The Ontario Seniors Care at Home Tax Credit
- Canada Caregiver Credit
- HST exemption if you receive any publicly funded care
