“It feels like I now have team members - partners - who share my philosophy but also bring a whole different skill set and knowledge base to the challenge of supporting my father in his desire to age in place in his home, despite his dementia. …I would want people to know that you really, genuinely, authentically care about your clients - both the cared for and the caregivers. That changes everything about the experience.”

High Standards
Our team of Active Caregivers come from various health care backgrounds including Personal Support Work, Disability Service Work, Activation Gerontology, Nursing, Kineseology, Psychology etc. Each has prior minimum experience of one year in home care, and 3 years with seniors, and individuals with dementia.
We expect a lot of our caregivers, and because we hire the best personal support workers and take great care in choosing members of our team, it is easy for them to deliver.
Each of our caregivers can do everything so that they are fully capable of helping any of our clients. They will reliably work with your schedules for medications, activities and everything else in life.
Personalized Matching
That said, we do look at assigning caregivers that will be a good match for each client based on personalities and personal preferences. Caregivers remain matched with clients from intake onwards. By being matched with one staff member, they build a connection with the individual, and a knowledge of their needs.
Dedicated Caregivers
Our team receives competitive wages, benefits, training, growth opportunities etc., to foster a fulfilling work-life balance. Join a small community of caregivers making a positive impact!
